Applicable to: iOS, Android

The Spending Tracker feature allows you to monitor your outlet's spending by setting a monthly or weekly target. You can set separate trackers for monthly and weekly periods.

Set a spending target

  1. In Reports, check whether you're in Weekly or Monthly view at the top of the screen, and select the Spending tracker card on the dashboard.

If you haven't set up the tracker yet, you'll see a 'Set up' label. Tap on it to begin.

Note: When viewing previous months or weeks, the Spending tracker card will be inactive and not clickable.

  2. You'll be directed to the monthly or weekly spending tracker screen. Switch the toggle ON to activate the tracker.

  3. Enter your desired spending target for the period, for example, $5,000 for the month or week.

    1. For reference, you'll see a brief summary of your spending history for the past 3 months.

    2. The maximum amount you can set is $9,999,999.00.

    3. The tracker resets at the beginning of each month or week.

  4. Tap Save to confirm your limit.

Get alerts

You can also set an alert. By default, the alert is turned ON when you've set a weekly/monthly spending target amount and is set to notify you when you reach 90% of your limit.

Note: You cannot delete the first alert, but you can adjust its threshold. Alert settings are retained even when you switch the alerts OFF.

You can customise this as follows:

  • In the Spending alert section, tap Change next to the current alert percentage.

  • Drag the slider to set your desired alert threshold.

  • Tap Save.

You can add another alert:

  • Tap Add another alert.

  • Set a different threshold (it must be unique, you cannot add the same threshold.

  • Tap Save.

Alerts will be automatically sorted from smallest to largest percentage. You can switch alerts ON or OFF using the toggle. When switched ON, you'll see a confirmation toast saying Alert enabled.

Track progress

After setting your target, a progress bar will appear on the page, showing how close you are to hitting the amount.

  • The Spending tracker card on your dashboard will show a horizontal chart displaying the amount left for the month or week.

  • If you exceed your target, the card will display the exceeded amount.

  • You'll receive push notifications based on your alert settings:

    • When you reach the set percentage of your target (e.g., 90%)

    • When you reach or exceed 100% of your target
