An inventory list is a group of items that you can group for your stock count.
For example:
Chef Jeff may be putting all his items that he has in his restaurants into one list and only use that list alone for all his weekly stock count to keep track of his inventory.
Chef John on the other would like to group his inventory by beverage and food, and grouped his list into the Beverage list and Food list to contain all his beverage ingredients in one list and food ingredients in another.
Chef Tess likes her inventory to be segmented by the sections in her restaurants. In this case, her list may be called Kitchen List, Bar List, Front-of-house List, and Store Room list.
Creating a list
1. Click on Inventory in the side navigation bar.
2. Select an outlet, then click on the "Lists" tab below your outlet name at the top of the page to display the inventory lists.
3. Click on “+ New list” on the right side of the page and this will open up a “Create new list” pop-up of which you can proceed to give a name to your list at the “List name” field (eg: Kitchen List, Beverage List, Chef Jeff Personal List).
Note: If no inventory lists have been created for the outlet, there will be a Create new list button next to the outlet name. However if the outlet already has inventory list(s), you'll have to click on the outlet, and then select New list in the outlet detail page.
4. Once you clicked Next, you will see a list of items from your connected suppliers to add into your list.
5. You can either search for your items in the “SKU name” field of filter the items by the Supplier name over at the dropdown. Check the checkbox to select the items, and click "Done".
You can filter your items by clicking on the "All suppliers" button for a dropdown list of your suppliers.
6. You can then specify your Inventory Unit of Measurement (UOM) by choosing from the dropdown list under the "Inventory UOM" column.
When selecting your inventory UOM, you have to do a conversion rate based on the item’s order UOM to your preferred inventory UOM.
If you choose to do your stock count with your order UOM as your inventory UOM, you do not need to do any conversion.
7. Once you are done, click on the "Done" button to add the items to your list.
